The Charged Isolation DiTau path

Full name in the config: HLT_DoubleMediumChargedIsoPFTauHPS40_eta2p1.

This path reconstructs \tau leptons by using the HPS (described in the HPS section) algorithm. It relies on setting cuts on predefined variables.

  • L1 seed: pDoublePuppiTau52_52
  • The actual isolation cuts are combined from absolute and relative isolation found here. If a \tau passes either one of these two, it passes the whole filter.
  • The final filter is of type HLT1PFTau (called hltHpsDoublePFTau40TrackPt1MediumChargedIsolation) - it adds some additional cuts on the \tau's which pass the isolation filters. These cuts are \eta<2.1, p_{T}>40, and MinN=2.
